there are so many false religions around today that it is astounding.
if a person does not have a strong bond with god it is easy to fall prey to the devil's deceitful plans.
Speaking from a christian standpoint i can only say that any religion that denies the diety of Christ or God is a false religion.

real one: I don't mean to be nasty, but instead of pointing fingers and using the word false perhaps you could seriously evaluate the evidence for your own belief system. This is the wrong place to boast you have the true religion.
as a public school teacher and standing in front of a class room i found it a way to advocate something questionable such as a borderline tv show or the radio show of risquay djs by telling the class this was not good and they should not listen to these.
knowing all the while the next morning on the way to school they would be listening to bob and tom in the morning.. so do any of you believe that some of the jws take being told don't use the internet is their que to open their browser?.
I suppose the availability of information must really be hurting the cult's intake of victims, and it will certainly be interesting to see what happens over the next generation or two. However, if you believe as a JW then you believe that Satan is really only a click away and act accordingly. I worked with the web and didn't look at anything apostate until I already had my doubts and had done other study.

Oh that's easy for a JW. He is anxious. He loves us so much, after all.
He's just waiting a little bit longer (we're around the corner now and on the home straight) to prove that humans can't rule themselves. Otherwise some clever bugger might say "But Jehovah! If you'd given us just a few more years...".
my step daughter went to the memorial, which is her first meeting in many months.
a 7 year old girl came up to her and asked if she is baptised and when will she get baptised.. my sister has a 4 year old daughter.
when she was introduced to another 4 year old one question she asked was "does he love jehovah.".
After the meeting all adults were to ask the kids what their plans were, and all kids were supposed to respond "pioneer". Talk about brainwashing and indoctrination!
Wow. I don't think that would happen nowadays in the UK, and if it did a lot parents would feel uncomfortable. At least mine would, even though they were more or less born in themselves.
as i posted in a previous thread, i went to a friends funeral on friday( i'll call him peter).
it was my first time back to a kh in years.
as i walked in i overheard a "sister" telling her friend that she had to come straight from work and that's why she was wearing pants and that she hoped no one would think that she was "wordly".
Funerals are what I'm dreading having to endure. I suppose we have to be strong enough to realise that they are all trapped and that we just have to give them some slack.

I don't know if the Jesus-had-to-be-human-to-know-what-it's-like theory was included in the talk; I just posted it because it came to mind.
So to complete Jesus' human experience, once he gave up his perfect human body in heaven, when he returns to the earth again in the flesh, it was arranged that he take up the body and identity of an imperfect human so he would understand that experience.

The line of "reasoning" where they say that because Jesus has actually been a human, and hence knows what it's like, enables him to deal with us more lovingly always sounded a little weak to me. Him and his Dad (who happens to be all-knowing) made us, for heaven's sake!
